Murray d’Almeida
Non-Executive Chairman, Murray d'Almeida
Murray has over 30 years national and international business experience, especially in franchising. He qualified as an Accountant in Perth and commenced with a firm of Chartered Accountants before moving to commercial accounting with two USA based mining companies. He founded Retail Food Group Australia and was instrumental in the growth of that company's brands Donut King and BB's Coffee to in excess of 300 stores in Australia and in seven other countries. He has also been involved in the restaurant, wholesaling, farming and liquor industries.
Murray is currently Chairman of the following: Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd, the Institute of Business Leaders Ltd, Gold Coast Rugby Ltd and Connecting Southern Gold Coast Ltd. Murray is also Vice President of the Queensland Rugby Union.
He is a non-executive Director of ASX listed Hyperion Asset Management Ltd and London Stock Exchange listed Beacon Hill Resources.
Murray is a member of the Gold Coast’s Regional Economic Development Advisory Board and a member of a Griffith University Business School Advisory Board. He has held previous positions as Chairman of Allied Brands Ltd, ECT Ltd, Capricorn Resources NL and Golden Pacific Resources Ltd (ASX listed entities), and a former Director of the Franchisors Association of Australia and New Zealand and the Australian Small Business Association.

Brian Hall
Managing Director, Brian Hall
Brian is a founder of Bartercard, and has over 25 years of Sales and Sales Management experience. Over the past 18 years Brian has been very hands on developing the sales and trading systems of the franchise model for Bartercard.
Brian has held a variety of positions with Bartercard since its inception such as; Bartercard's first Sales Consultant, Franchise Principal, Managing Director of Bartercard Australia, Director of Sales of Bartercard Australia, Head of Bartercard International training, General Manager of Bartercard International, Sales and Marketing Director for Bartercard Australia.
This variety of roles has given Brian a broad range of experience and knowledge in the Company and the Barter industry. Brian still has extreme passion and excitement for the industry. This coupled with his experiences will serve him well in leading the company forward to greater growth for all.
On a personal note; Brian is Canadian born, now an Australian citizen. He attained a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree specialising in Transportation and Distribution logistics from the University of British Columbia, Vancover, Canada. Brian has been married for 23 years to a beautiful and supportive Australian lady, and they together have 3 great kids.

Tony Wiese
Chief Operating Officer, Tony Wiese
Tony is Chief Operating Officer of Bartercard Australia and is responsible for the National Trading, Franchising, Sales and Marketing Divisions. Tony is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience in Financial and Executive Management.
After completing his accountancy articles with Arthur Anderson & Co, Tony commenced his career in South Africa as Financial Manager and a shareholder of the then small transport company, Super Group Pty Ltd. During his time at Super Group, Tony helped grow the company to a one billion dollar business and the second largest transport company in Africa. In his 10 years at Super Group, Tony advanced to Executive Director of the main board of the then publicly listed company, and was the Managing Director of the Rental and Logistics Divison, which included 12 Subsidiary Companies.
Tony later founded and listed the Onelogix Group Ltd, a logisitcs and supply chain company, which included the 226 PostNet franchise network. Tony was the initial CEO of the Group for the first 2 years before emigrating to Australia.
After moving to Australia in 2002, Tony invested in various private companies, including Bartercard. Tony is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Global Accounting Alliance (GAA).

Johan Andersson
Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary, Johan Andersson
CA, MBA
Johan joined Bartercard in early 2007. He has over 15 years senior financial and operational management experience encompassing strategic business planning, financial control, and IT systems development gained with large multinational organisations in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Prior to joining Bartercard, Johan was the CFO and Company Secretary of Austin Engineering Ltd (ANG), an ASX listed company operating in the mining industry.
From 1995-2000 Johan was employed as the Chief Financial Controller within the Group of Mannesmann AG, a German multinational with revenue in excess of AUD$50 billion. During this time he was responsible for all of the group's commercial and financial operations in P.R. of China, including the establishment of feasibility studies and contract negotiations for the incorporation of three Joint Venture companies between Mannesmann AG and Chinese State Owned Enterprises which, at that time, was employing well over 4,000 staff.
Johan brings to Bartercard a unique blend of international management expertise, astute business acumen and corporate advisory expertise.

Trevor Dietz
Non-Executive Director, Trevor Dietz
MSc, FAICD, FPNA, FFIN, CMAHRI
Trevor Dietz is the Managing Director of Barter Capital Pty Ltd. In this role his focus is on the capital structuring of the Barter Futures Group as well as developing emerging markets and enterprises that would be complimentary to the business of Bartercard Australia.
Previously, Trevor was the Managing Director of Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd having been appointed to that role in November 2005. He joined Bartercard in 1993 as General Manager and has since contributed to the company’s success in a broad cross section of senior management roles. In August 2007 he led the team that conducted a successful Management Buy Out (MBO) of Bartercard Australia for $25.5m. He was elected to the Australian Board of Bartercard in 1998 and to the Board of Bartercard International in 2000. He is also a Non- Executive Director of the Institute of Business Leaders.
He has over 25 years experience in retail, corporate and international banking, finance and human resource management. Before joining Bartercard, Trevor was Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute of Accountants, and held senior Corporate Office positions in North Broken Hill Peko and National Australia Bank.
Trevor is a Fellow of the National Institute of Accountants, a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Raj Pathak
National Sales Trainer and Coach, Raj Pathak
Raj Pathak joined Bartercard in 1993 as a Sales Consultant, bringing with him some 20 years in sales, tourism and management. Raj excelled in the field and quickly became Bartercard’s top salesperson. He has personally made over 1000 new member sales and has won more sales achievement awards than any other person in the history of the Company.
Raj is Bartercard’s ‘training guru’ in the classroom, and out in the field. He is responsible for field support and training of Sales Consultants, Sales Managers and Sales Brokers in Australia.

Justine Hayek
National Franchising Manager, Justine Hayek
Justine is the National Franchising Manager and is responsible for overseeing the development and success of Bartercard’s 45 franchised offices across Australia.
Justine has an extensive history at Bartercard Australia, joining the company in 1994 as a Trade Accounts Officer. Justine has worked in various positions within Bartercard including Trade Accounts Supervisor and National Member Services Manager which has given her extensive knowledge of the company’s National Office operation.
Prior to being promoted to National Franchising Manager in December 2007, Justine held the position of National Administration Manager for three years. Justine was responsible for executing Bartercard National Trading Extravaganzas in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney in 2006 and 2007. She has also been a key driver of initiatives such as the implementation of Bartercard EFTPOS.
Justine has been well recognised for her contribution to Bartercard and has received numerous company awards, notably "Staff Choice Manager of the Year 2008" and "Directors' Choice – Manager of the Year 2007" and "Directors' Choice – Employee of the Year 2006". Additional awards received over the years include "Manager of the Year", "Employee of the Year" and "Franchisee Service Excellence and Attitude".

Andrew Barker
National Marketing & New Product Development Manager, Andrew Barker
Andrew Barker started with the Bartercard team in 1994 as a National Hospitality Trade Co-ordinator, his trading and sales (with an individual trade volume of over T$15 million) were complemented by his background in hotel management.
Andrew’s next move within Bartercard saw him take on the role of National Trading Manager before moving to the role of General Manager - Company Owned Brokerages for Bartercard Australia incorporating 12 operations at that time. He has also performed training roles in both a national and international capacity and held a position on the Board of Bartercard International, whilst holding the role of International Director of Trading. Andrew has collected a number of awards in recognition of his contribution, including runner-up "Brokerage Manager of the Year", "Company Owned - Brokerage of the Year" and "Bartercard International Directors’ Choice, Employee of the Year."

Peter Fenton
National Trading Manager, Peter Fenton
Certificate Business Management, Employee & Team Development (Dale Carnegie Business Group),CTB (Certified Trade broker).
Prior to joining the Bartercard team in January 2005, Peter Fenton performed in each area of the trade exchange industry for nine years in Canada and Australia. Starting in sales, Peter moved into trading and eventually started his own exchange which he sold in the late 1990s to a U.S. internet-based group. Upon moving to Australia, Peter worked as a Trade Development Advisor at Bartercard, focusing on Bartercard owned franchises and the South East Queensland area. Peter then welcomed a new challenge and managed the company owned franchises in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, as well as the key account team located at National Office in Queensland.
In his current role of National Trading Manager, Peter is responsible for the overall performance of the trading area of the business. This involves continually assessing the success of client attraction and retention strategies and also the delivery of training to the franchise group and their management staff.

Mark Atkinson
ICT Manager, Mark Atkinson
Mark has been involved in computing and networking for over 20 years, and has achieved professional qualifications in Cisco, Sonicwall and Microsoft. He has worked at senior levels in Systems Administration, Data Networking and Network integration for a FTSE100 company in the UK. In 2001 Mark moved to Australia and joined Bartercard as Senior Systems Administrator. As Infrastructure Manager for Bartercard International he can utilise his experience in deploying, managing and supporting local and remote offices throughout Europe. Mark leads a team of four IT professionals delivering Helpdesk, Systems Administration, Problem Resolution, and implementation of IT hardware and network solutions for Bartercard International and Bartercard Australia.

James P Mullin
Corporate Legal Counsel, James P Mullin
James joined Bartercard in October 2008 after more than three years as a senior associate with Michael Sing Lawyers in Bundall, Queensland. James worked in the Property and Commercial section of the firm concentrating on commercial transactions, franchising, leasing and real estate matters.
Prior to relocating to Australia, James was the Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Foot Locker Inc. (formerly Woolworth Corporation) in New York City. He worked for 18 years with Foot Locker and was involved in a series of major transactions in the acquisition and sale of large retail chains.
James is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice law in Queensland. He brings both international and Australian experience to his position.
